Body Buzz’s Injury Rehabilitation gives you faster recovery from injury. Our customized program uses a wide variety of assessment and treatment techniques, with a focus on restoring function within the injured area and correcting movement dysfunctions affected by the global kinetic chains.
We use the muscle testing method, giving your skilled therapist the tools to gather information about how effectively the nervous system is sending messages to the muscles via the motor control system. We believe that by restoring the firing patterns of particular muscles within key kinetic chains, we can dramatically improve function and decrease re-occurrence of injury. When key muscles stop working effectively, or if the neural signaling is altered, our bodies decide to share the workload with other muscles by connecting into the motor control centre. While this handover to other muscles can be experienced as pain or discomfort; the true cause of this dysfunction is often due to instability or inhibition in other areas of the body.
INJURY ANALYSIS.
Unfortunately, our brain is not overly concerned with the goings on of our individual muscles because its primary focus is on the bigger picture: survival.
You’re experiencing pain in your rotator cuff for instance. What may be occurring is inhibition in one of the core muscles, leading to over facilitation in the shoulder while lifting, resulting in rotator cuff problems. See, it’s not really the rotator cuffs fault, but it shoulders the blame because that is where the pain lies.
